At Little Explorers, we’re proud to provide a safe, happy and healthy learning environment for your child. Owned and operated by a licensed and dual certified early childhood and special education teacher, Mrs. Holley believes in building a strong foundation for little learners that will carry with them throughout their schooling. By following our mission, vision and values, we create a welcoming learning environment for all children. With a small in-home setting your child will be sure to have plenty of time to learn, play and explore.
Our Mission
We believe in providing our students with the tools they need for future happiness and success in school. Our unique program incorporates a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interests in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning. We know play is an essential part of children's development and provide endless opportunities for this to occur while also preparing them for what's ahead.

Program, Location and Hours
Our Program
We are a small in-home pre-k with a 1:8 student teacher ratio for ages 3-5. We offer both full day and half day options. Depending on your family’s schedule, our half day or full day program might be the right fit for you. No matter what your child needs, each of our programs will provide the support and tools necessary for optimal growth.
Location
We are located in Churchville, Maryland in Harford County. We are in close proximity to Belcamp, Havre de Grace, Bel Air and Aberdeen
Hours
Monday, Wednesday and Friday September to June.
Full day-8 A.M to 4:30 P.M
Half day-8 A.M to 12 P.M
Requirements
Our requirements to enroll include:
3 Year old's

Must be 3 by September 1st or close to that date.

Must be fully potty trained.

Must attend all 3 days.
4 and 5 Year old's

Must be fully potty trained
-
5 year old's did not meet the age requirement to enter kindergarten (5 on or after September 2)

Must attend all 3 days.
An enrollment fee must be payed in full within a week of the time of enrollment to hold your child's spot. Fees are non-refundable however will be credited towards the last tuition of the school year.
There are NO fees for applying to our waitlist.
About Our Teacher
Hello,
I am Mrs. Holley proud owner and teacher at Little Explorers. When people ask me "why be a teacher!?" I ask them why not!? How many people can say they make a difference every single day? I'm passionate about giving my students the foundation and learning experience they deserve regardless of abilities or qualifications. The early years in a child's life are the most important years in their development. If I can help those years be meaningful, exciting and beneficial to their growth then seriously, why not!?
Creating a bond with my students and their families means a lot to me. I believe trust, partnership and communication are key to your child's success so I work hard to honor that in my teaching. We are in this together!
Background and Experience:
Mrs. Holley is a licensed childcare provider as well as a certified teacher in the state of Maryland with a dual bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Special Education and her masters degree in Early Childhood. Mrs. Holley has previously taught full day pre-k and kindergarten for the public school system before leaving to fulfill her dream of owning her own business. Prior to becoming a teacher, she worked in the school system in special education with students in pre-k to 5th grade. Collectively, she has been working with children for over 13 years.

"This review is long overdue! But it is hard to find the words to describe this perfect little preschool. When I found Little Explorers, my first baby was heading into pre-k. Maybe I would be labeled as a helicopter mom , but I am a former teacher myself and she was my first baby after all so I wasn't going to settle. When I walked into Little Explorers, I knew I was far from settling. Mrs. Holley's space is the perfect classroom; a combination of warm, inviting and playful. The environment she built allows for kids to be curious, to explore and to learn through play. The outdoor space is just as special and breathtaking. Another thing I loved about Little Explorers is Mrs. Holley's communication with her families and the family engagement days both which built a strong home and school connection. Mrs. Holley is exceptional at communicating with families whether it be providing a progress report to show student growth, sending picture/s and daily updates, or just sending a quick reminder for an event coming up. The family engagement days were always fun for my child and helped build strong friendships within her little school community. Ok I will say one last thing even though I truly can go on and on about how special this preschool is. Mrs. Holley treats not only her students, but their families like her own.
